How the FIFO parking program works
The Adelaide Airport Parking Program makes travel easier and more affordable for frequent FIFO workers -here’s how it works:
- Employers register and issue cards - Eligible employees receive a parking access card from their employer.
- Simple entry and exit - Cardholders use their access card to enter and exit their nominated Adelaide Airport car park. There’s no need to pay at the gate — charges are applied on exit.
- Monthly activity statements - Adelaide Airport sends the employer a monthly statement showing usage for each card.
- Pre-tax savings - Employers can apply the parking costs as a pre-tax adjustment to payroll. This provides significant cost savings for employees who use the program.
