Adelaide Airport is a live operational environment, which means additional approvals, permits, access requirements and safety controls may apply before works can commence.

Early planning is strongly recommended to ensure works can be completed safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to airport operations, customers and neighbouring tenants.

Depending on the scope of works, Adelaide Airport may require one or more approvals before work can commence.
Contractors working within Sterile Areas or Security Restricted Areas must hold the appropriate security pass.
Where a contractor does not hold a valid ASIC:
- A VIC may be required
- VICs must be organised in advance
- VIC holders must be escorted by an ASIC holder
- Security screening requirements apply

- Complete required inductions
- Follow Adelaide Airport Site Rules
- Wear appropriate PPE
- Provide SWMS where required
- Operate safely within public areas
- Report hazards and incidents immediately

- Isolation fees

Planning Ahead
High-risk isolations generally require a minimum of 7 days' notice and may incur attendance costs.

Operational Requirements During Works
- Maintain safe pedestrian access
- Keep work areas clean and safe
- Protect customers, staff and neighbouring tenants
- Use approved barriers and hoardings
- Minimise noise, dust and disruption
- Remove waste promptly
- Comply with airport directions
- Use MobileDOCK where required
- Use approved loading zones
- Follow designated delivery routes
- Avoid obstructing passengers or operations
- Remain within approved work areas
- Display security credentials
- Comply with screening requirements
- Secure tools and equipment
- Never share security passes

Unattended tools, equipment or materials may trigger a security response and could result in delays or additional costs.
